Working with the Community Coalition Alliance, Project Opioid and the North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, the creative and strategy teams at Acuity Design Group (ADG), Boom Chicka and AVC Media Group (AVC) came together to draft and submit a pilot public awareness campaign, focused on opioids and targeting Jacksonville’s Gen Z population.
The decision to create an opioid awareness campaign targeting young Gen Z adults was driven by CDC reporting on that cohort’s vulnerability, the inescapable reality that members of Gen Z are more prone to risky behaviors – including substance abuse – and the surging numbers of overdose incidents, including deaths. In Jacksonville, approximately 110,000 people were members of Gen Z.
While the initial campaign would restrict its efforts to Jacksonville, it would also outline tactics and phases for a measured expansion across most of Northern Florida. Read the full report in PDF format.
